Hello! Thank you for stopping by my page! A little bit about me...I'm Jen and I grew up in Omaha, NE. I moved to Lincoln 20-ish years ago and quickly fell in love with everything about this great city—the people, Huskers (GBR!) and Scott, my partner of almost two decades who also serves as my quality assurance cookie tester. 😉 My full-time job is in Omaha, so I still have a very strong connection to the Omaha community. Even though Lincoln is home, there will always be something about Omaha that feels like "Homaha.” People always ask which city I like better since I have lived in both, and I tell them it's like asking someone to pick a favorite child! That being said, I am excited to service both areas! So how did this baking thing start? Well, I would be lying if I said I have always dreamed of being a baker. I have always enjoyed baking a couple dozen drop cookies here and there, but never thought of it much beyond that. I loved decorating sugar cookies during the holidays, but there were always two problems: Sugar cookie recipes that tasted decent always spread and I ended up with unrecognizable shapes. Sugar cookie recipes that didn't spread tasted like flour with a hint of sugar. (No thanks, I will save myself the calories!) So, my passion for decorated sugar cookies all started with the quest of getting the recipe just right. I tweaked again and again until I developed the perfect concoction of high-quality ingredients with the right ratios. FINALLY, a delicious, no-spread sugar cookie! Both of those things can coexist–who knew?! 🤯 Once I had the recipe perfected, then I started down the rabbit hole of watching hundreds of YouTube videos to learn how to decorate these delicious creations, and there's no soft way to say it…I became obsessed. I found cookie decorating to be a creative outlet that brings me joy to share with others, so here we are! 😁 I am a corporate woman by day and a baker by evening/weekends! But I don't just aim to provide a high-quality product; providing a top-notch experience to all of my customers is just as important to me.
